The two-hour guided tour offers a comprehensive introduction to Turku. The route runs through the heart of the city and along the beautiful banks of the Aura River, which offer views of Turku’s most famous landmarks. Along the way, you will admire sights like the Turku Castle and the Cathedral from the outside, and learn how a medieval marketplace grew into Finland’s historical capital.
The bustle of the city center is left behind as we head to Koroinen—the place where the story of Turku began. Here, you will get to know the city’s earliest phases and hear why Koroinen was such a significant hub before the birth of medieval Turku.
The journey continues to the Kurala Village of Living History (Kuralan Kylämäki), a unique living history village where the past still feels present. This historical farm milieu offers a fascinating glimpse into everyday life of the past and completes the tour’s storytelling experience.
