Helsinki Declaration – economic responsibility

Magni Mundi signed the Finnish travel industry’s shared domestic declaration at the Matka Travel Fair in January 2026 —that is, a commitment to the sustainability of our tourism products across all areas of responsibility.
Ecological, sociocultural, and economic responsibility are all important. We have written about sociocultural responsibility in our last news and will return to ecological responsibility in future news. Here, we focus on economic responsibility.

The Helsinki Declaration says, among other things, the following about economic responsibility:
➢ cooperation with local communities and people
➢ favoring local products and skills
➢ ensuring the company’s own profitability, promoting employment, and supporting society through tax revenue

At Magni Mundi, we put economic responsibility into practice by working with skilled professionals and ensuring they are fairly compensated for their work. We use authorized guides whenever possible and do not support the use of untrained students with no pay as guides.

We also want to create opportunities for local small businesses and make use of their products and services. In addition to guides, we collaborate with local providers in areas such as accommodation and restaurants.

As small entrepreneurs ourselves, we value the opportunity to support one another by recommending and using services we know are delivered with genuine care and dedication.
